Description Specifications and Drawings

MITSUBISHI MDS-C1-SP-260 CNC Spindle drive unit.

FEATURES:
The Mitsubishi MDS-C1-SP-260 (MDSC1SP260) is a 26kW MDS series spindle drive. This spindle drive has both an input and an output. The voltage is 155VAC for the output and ranges from 270 to 311VDC for the input; and concerning the current, the output’s is 97A and the input’s is 115A. The MDS-C1-SP-260 spindle drive also has a power supply, whose voltage extends from 200 to 230VAC. The power supplies frequency is 50/60Hz, and its current is 0.2A.

There are eight ports and three terminals on the MDS-C1-SP-300 spindle drive. Ports CN9, CN6, CN7, and CN8 are all open ports upon this spindle drive. To connect a spindle motor to this spindle drive, the encoder of the chosen applicable spindle motor must attach using a cable to the CN5 port of the spindle drive. Another connection must be made with the spindle motor by linking it to the U, V, and W terminals. Accomplishing this, to link the MDS-C1-SP-300 spindle drive to a servo drive, a linkage must be made between its CN1A port with the CN1B port of the servo drive which can be of the MDS-C1-V[] or MDS-C1-V[] series. Then, the servo drive may end the series of connections by making a NC (No Connection). Then, the port next to the CN1A port of the spindle drive is the CN1B port that can either link to a battery module, or can terminate the series of connections by linking with a terminator. Lastly, the MDS-C1-SP-300 spindle drive’s CN4 port can link to the similar port of a power supply module.

The MDS-C1 Series incorporates a highly efficient heat dissipating structure, so the depth of the fin section is smaller than the MDS-A/B Series. Units with an "S" at the end of the type have a smaller unit width than the MDS-A/B Series. When designing the control panel with these unit outline dimensions, it may not be possible to mount the conventional drive unit.

MITSUBISHI MDS-C1-SP-260 (MDSC1SP260 MDS C1 SP 260 BND553W000A1 BNP-C3000) This is a spindle drive unit MITSUBISHI MDS-C1-SP-260 type MDS that permits a CNC Machine-tools to drive a MITSUBISHI AC Spindle motor with a max output capacity of 26kW (97A rated output from the spindle drive unit). The characteristics of this spindle drive unit MITSUBISHI MELDAS MDS-C1-SP-260 are the following:

Input: 115A DC270-311V

0.2A 1PH 200/200-230V 50/60Hz

Output: 97A 3PH 200V 0-833Hz

Power: 26kW

In systems which use a MITSUBISHI Electric MDS-C1-SP-260 Spindle drive unit, the spindle drive unit must be placed next to the power supply MDS-C1-CV-* as shown in the connection manuals. Each units generates some heat, so leave a space on the top and bottom when installing other equipment or parts. The heating value for the spindle drive unit for during continuous rated output (190W). The power supply unit capacity is determined by the motor output, and the spindle drive unit capacity is determined by the motor characteristics
