The high precision RS-series right-angled helical planetary gearheads are available in 60-220mm frame sizes and offer high torque, high radial loads, low backlash, high input speeds and a small package size. Custom versions are possible.

The Stealth RS-series is Parker's highest performance right-angle servo gearhead, incorporating the latest technological enhancements. The use of spiral bevel gears permit the RS-series gearheads to deliver high efficiency and high torque in a compact, right-angle package, while helical planetary gears provide greater tooth contact and face width than spur gears, resulting in higher loads, smoother tooth engagement, quieter operation and very low backlash. The use of an integral ring gear, cut directly into the gearhead housing, further increases torsional stiffness and allows RS-series gearheads to use larger gears and bearings, leading to a greater torque output from a minimum package size. Dual angular contact bearings provides higher radial and axial load capacities, while maintaining high input speeds, while a full complement of needled bearings are used to support the planet gears, allowing for increased life and extended warranties. High resistance to wear is achieved with Parker's in-house Plasma Nitriding heat treatment process - this results in an ideal gear tooth with a surface that is very hard (65 Rc) and a core that is strong but flexible (36 Rc). The end product is a wear-resistant gear tooth that can withstand heavy shock, ensuring high accuracy for the entire life of the gearhead. Mounting to any servo motor is as easy as A-B-C (adapter, bushing, collet) with our new universal mounting kits. Common mounting kits across multiple product lines promote quick deliveries and flexibility in the field when switching to a new motor is required. Available in 60 to 220mm frame sizes, with a range of gear ratios from 3:1 to 100:1, the RS-series helical planetary gearheads provide high torque, low backlash and high stiffness, making them ideal for high and medium level performance applications.
