Delta: PC-Based Motion Solution - DMCNET Slaves (ASD-DMC-RM04PI Series)

DMCNET is a high speed and real time communication system, capable of controlling up to 12 servo system units within 1ms simultaneously. It can accept double precision floating point values 64-bits wide and provide up to 1,280,000 pulse/rev resolution so the servo system can make accurate calculations and provide operation flexibility. 35 homing modes are provided. 12 servo system units or 4 groups, 3-axis helical and linear interpolation or 6 groups, 2-axis linear and arc interpolation can be implemented synchronously. It also supports absolute commands, incremental commands and T-curve / S-curve velocity profiles, built-in position, speed and torque control modes for different uses. Simply by connecting to servo motors, linear motors, digital inputs and outputs (DI/DO), analog inputs and outputs (AI/AO) and other control devices such as stepping motors and manual pulse generator (MPG), enabling fast and cost-effective communication and control is easy.

DMCNET Slaves

For DMCNET high speed and real time communication, Delta provides a reliable gateway type power coupler, digital I/O remote modules, analog I/O remote modules and pulse remote modules for utility applications and a variety of industrial applications.

4-Channel Pulse Remote Module (ASD-DMC-RM04PI Series)

The RM04PI pulse remote module controls 4 channels of stepping motor signals for the DMCNET master on the DMCNET network for remote control.

Specifications:

  • 4 channels of 200KHz pulse outputs (Pulse +Direction, CCW pulse +CW pulse, A phase + B phase)

  • 4 channels of 200KHz pulse inputs (CCW pulse +CW pulse, A phase + B phase)

  • Digital Inputs x8 / Digital Outputs x8

  • Built-in Positive / Negative Limit and Home for each channel

  • In Mode 1, each RM04PI module occupies one node number only, and interpolation motion is carried out within one module.

  • - 4 channels occupy 1 node number only

  • - 4 channels occupy one PDO and SDO

  • - Performs interpolation motion of 4 channels within one RM04PI module only

  • - Transfers data in cyclical patterns

  • - Motion commands set by parameters

  • - Point-to-Point motion mode, motion position calculation is performed within one RM04PI module

  • In Mode 2, each RM04PI module occupies node numbers 1~4, which correspond to 4 channels. The interpolation motion can be carried out among different modules.
