Elmo Motion Control Gold Line

Sophisticated Servo Drives for Modern Industrial Automation

The Gold servo drives, are a result of over 200 engineering years and a natural evolution of SimplIQ technology. Supporting both CANopen and EtherCAT protocols and equipped with the latest advanced technology has to offer, the line is the cutting-edge in servos!

One solution, any application: With Elmo's Gold servo drives we have the motion control solution for your industrial automation challenges. The Gold Line components' distributed intelligence, synergy, and variety of servo drive features, are easily harnessed to create a motion control system that answers your application automation needs and that supports any servo motors. The built-in operational simplicity, from each individual component to the entire system, combined with an innovative single software environment that interfaces with all units and servo motors, ensures the highest level of performance.

The servo drives in the Gold Line represent Elmo's best ever motion control solutions and are designed to handle modern industrial automation applications of ever increasing complexity. At the same time, they remain true to Elmo's motto of "Small, Smart & Simple," enabling you to develop your machines, get the best results from the servo motors, and achieve the shortest time-to-market.

DC Input: 6 to 780 VDC - for DC brush, sinusoidal and trapezoidal motors

Differences between Gold and SimplIQ Servo Drives

  • Gold servo drives have a higher and wider servo performance Bandwidth, Current, Velocity, Position, Dual Loop, Gantry, etc. The Gold Line has a significantly wider current (Torque) and dynamic range.

  • SimplIQ servo drives support CANopen Communication.

  • Gold servo drives support EtherCAT & CANopen, and real-time of the latter is significantly improved.

  • Gold servo drives support any feedback and have higher capabilities, performance and flexibilities in feedback manipulation for dual loops, Gantry, MIMO, etc.

Gold Solo Trombone
Series

Ultra-compact, Stand-alone, Network Servo Drive (Up to 16 A/800 V)

Up to 10 kW of continuous power

The Gold Solo Trombone is an ultra-compact, integrated digital servo drive that weighs 362 g (12.8 oz) and offers up to 10 kW of continuous power.

This advanced, high power density servo drive is designed to operate "Direct to Mains" from a high voltage DC power supply of up to 400 VDC or 780 VDC, without the need for a transformer. It provides top performance, advanced networking and built in safety, as well as a fully featured motion controller and local intelligence. The Gold Solo Trombone is powered by a single 18 V – 30 V isolated DC power source (not included) and a "smart" control-supply algorithm enables the drive to operate with only one power supply with no need for an auxiliary power supply for the logic.

In conjunction with the Gold Maestro, the ultimate distributed network motion controller, and the other members of the Gold Line of intelligent servo drives, state-of-the-art solutions for the most challenging multi-axis motion applications can be easily implemented, with a short development cycle while maintaining high performance.

Gold Solo Trombone Highlights:

  • Gold Line core motion control technology

  • Ultra-compact, highest power density

  • Highly efficient, high bandwidth performance

  • Multiple communication options: EtherCAT, CANopen, USB, Ethernet

  • Supports a wide variety of feedback sensors

  • Advanced filtering and gain scheduling options for enhanced dynamic performance
